What is AFTER 2012 About?

What happens when a 70 year old hip hop loving priest, an ex Wall St. baron, a few geeks and a Native American medicine woman take on 2,000 years of tradition? Shift @ Lightspeed!

Synopsis:
Emilio Garces is dreaming again, but he is not alone. Caught in the web of his dream: Maria “take no nonsense” Keeper Woman, seer and traditional healer. Russell Layne, disgraced business tycoon. Thomas Johnson, Iraqi war vet turned Wall St. soldier of fortune.  Add to the mix, Xuan Li, celebrated numbers cruncher, Aruna Rao, forensic scientist and Ahmed Mustafa, disgruntled hacker.  This motley crew drawn from across the spectrum of race,class and religious persuasion, now find themselves front row and center running logistics for a potentially explosive project Garces calls The Ecumensus.

Not so easy! The team have been asked to unlock the secrets of ancient code left scattered around the globe by a mysterious group of indigenous elders.

What are they working with?  An off limits location in the heart of  Indian country, a hand full of clues and signs of a cataclysmic shift that may signal the end of time.

With only a few months to go, the team lurches back and forth between cracking the code and being consumed by it.

Then ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! Team Ecumensus blows up on Facebook and Youtube. Supporters, haters and skeptics of all stripes come out of the woodwork, including The Pillars, a secret clique of fundamentalists, politicians and powerful businessmen. Their response is immediate: Stop The Ecumensus!

What all of them will learn is – It’s not up to any of them. Humanity has a date with destiny.

Is it a Documentary?

No. After 2012, is a full on narrative feature film inspired by Ecumensus : the Next Vision,  awarded “2008 Book of the Year for Spiritual Fiction“.

Why?

As you know, there are less than 400 days before December 21 2012, which has become one of the most feared days in human history. AFTER 2012, is a direct means for us  to counter Hollywood’s obsessive fear mongering.  This movie is part of a movement to occupy our screens with content that empowers.
